There is no Toronto Disneyland… or is there? No, of course there isn’t, but Canada’s Wonderland is the next best thing. Really. We’ve been there with the kids about a dozen times now and every time we go there’s something else to do or see or they’ve added some new ride or modified an existing one. During the warm weather you’ll find lots of lines on the weekends but it’s pretty incredible that they aren’t longer than they are because this place is amazing! We went there a couple of weeks ago and the kids made a beeline for Splash Works; the water park within the park. I guess we’ve raised a couple of daredevils because our daughter wanted to hit “The Plunge” (a huge waterslide that I won’t go near) and our son couldn’t wait to ride the Typhoon (a roller coaster style slide with more curves than a python). Once they were good and waterlogged we all headed over to the coasters. I’ve been a fan my whole life but my wife… well, not so much. Leviathan is my favourite coaster and this was the first time I felt the kids were big enough to come with me (although my daughter opted to stay on the sideline with mom).
After a break we hit the Silver Streak, then The Fly and then we headed over to the racetrack for some serious mini-car fun. After that the kids wanted to go back and do the Wave Pool so it was back across the park one more time past The Vortex (I’ll see you next time!) The Windseeker (Gulp!) and The Slingshot (Yikes!) to the Wave Pool where the Mrs and me could relax under the big beach umbrellas while the kids had a go at the waves. A great time was had by all. Highly recommend!
